While we provide mechanisms to make sharing of files simple and easy, these features should never be abused. Sharing content that violates others’ rights is against our values. We don’t allow users to share intimate photos or videos without the consent of the person depicted in the material. Intimate imagery means the image or video depicts the subject nude, wearing sexually suggestive clothing, or engaged in sexual activity.
We utilize hashes from NCMEC’s Take It Down hash list to proactively detect non-consensual intimate imagery of minors. Users, regardless of age, should report to us when their intimate images are being shared without their permission. We’ll take swift action, including disabling access to the content and taking steps to prevent it from being shared.
If you or someone you know is a victim of this type of abuse, consider reaching out to law enforcement. You can also report non-consensual intimate imagery of minors to NCMEC’s Take It Down and of adults to StopNCII.org.
